To integrate Tally with GST Pro, complete a one-time setup using the Tally extension and API key, then follow the standard voucher import process whenever needed.

Prerequisites

Ensure the following before starting:

Tally Prime 3.0 or above
GST Pro 2.0 Enabled
Active Internet Connection

Setup Steps (One-Time)

Step 1: Enable GST Pro 2.0

In your Shopify admin, open GST Pro
Go to View More → Settings → General
Toggle Enable GST Pro 2.0 on

Existing configurations will be auto-migrated. Review your data after enabling to confirm everything looks correct. You can toggle back to the previous version at any time if needed.

Step 2: Generate an API Key

Go to Settings → Integrations
Locate the Tally section
Click Generate API Key
Copy the generated key — you will need it in Step 5

Step 3: Download the Tally Extension

In the same Tally section under Integrations
Click Download Tally Extension

Step 4: Load the TDL File in Tally Prime

Open Tally Prime
Go to Help → TDL & Add-ons → Manage Local TDLs
Set the file path to the folder in which the .tcp file is downloaded
Select the GST Pro .tcp file from the list
Click "Accept" and then "Quit" to go back

The GST Pro extension is now loaded and the GST Pro menu will appear in the Gateway of Tally.

Step 5: Add the API Key in Tally

In Tally Prime, go to Company → Alter Company
Locate the API Key field (added by the GST Pro extension)
Paste the API key copied in Step 2
Save by clicking "Accept"

Setup is complete. Tally is now connected to your GST Pro account.

Importing Vouchers

From the Gateway of Tally, click GST Pro. You will see three import options:

Sales — Import sales orders for a date range
Credit Note — Import refund/return orders for a date range
Single Loader — Import one specific order by order number

Import Sales Vouchers

Click GST Pro → Sales
Enter the date range (From Date / To Date)
Click Enter to start the import

Orders are fetched from GST Pro and sales vouchers are created automatically.
A summary will display the total records processed and total vouchers created.

Import a Single Order

Click GST Pro → Single Loader
Enter the Shopify order number
Confirm import by clicking Enter key

Only the specified order will be imported — no date range required.

Important Notes
Ensure the API key is correctly added in Tally before importing
The TDL file must be loaded successfully for the GST Pro menu to appear
An active internet connection is required during every import
Ensure the date range contains valid orders before importing
