Disable GST for International Orders

With GST Pro, you can automatically remove GST from international (export) orders.

As per Indian GST regulations, exports are treated as zero-rated supplies, which means GST is not charged on orders shipped outside India. Enabling this setting ensures your invoices remain compliant without requiring manual adjustments.

How It Works

Once enabled:

• Any order shipped outside India will have 0% GST applied

• GST will not be included in the invoice totals

• Domestic (India) orders will continue to have GST applied as usual

Steps to Enable

1. Go to GST Pro in your Shopify admin

2. Open Settings

3. Click on Taxes

   

4. Enable the option:
   “International / Export orders should have zero GST”

   

Result

• ✅ International orders → GST = 0%

• ✅ Domestic orders → GST applied normally

Important Notes

• This setting applies based on the shipping address country

• Ensure your store is correctly capturing international shipping addresses

• This does not affect other charges like shipping or duties

Tip

If you frequently handle exports, it’s recommended to:

• Clearly label such invoices as Export / Zero-rated supply

• Maintain proper records for compliance and reporting
