Collect GSTIN and Company Name on POS

You can collect GSTIN and Company Name directly on the Shopify POS cart using GST Pro.
This ensures that B2B customer details are captured and correctly reflected on invoices.

Overview

This setup allows you to:

Add GSTIN and Company Name during checkout on POS
Automatically include these details in GST invoices
Avoid manual edits after order creation

Setup (One-Time Configuration)

Enable GSTIN Capture on POS

Go to Shopify Admin → Point of Sale
Click on Settings
Open POS Apps
Select “Add GSTIN and Company Name to Cart”
Click Add next to Smart Grid tile

How to Use on POS

Step 1: Add Customer

Open Shopify POS app
Start a New Order
Tap Add Customer
Select an existing customer or create a new one

Step 2: Add Products

Select the required products
Tap Add to Cart

Step 3: Enter GSTIN and Company Name

Go to the POS home screen
Tap “Add GSTIN and Company Name” tile
Enter:
- GSTIN
- Company Name
Click Submit

Step 4: Complete the Order

Review cart details
Confirm GSTIN and company name are visible
Proceed to checkout

Generate Invoice with GST Details

Go to Orders in POS
Open the newly created order
Tap Print with GST Pro
Click Generate Invoice

Result

GSTIN and Company Name will appear on the invoice
You can now print or share the invoice

Using on Shopify Web (Optional)

You can also access and print the invoice from Shopify Admin (web) after the order is created.

Important Notes

Always add GSTIN before checkout
Ensure customer details are accurate for compliance
This feature is especially useful for B2B POS transactions
